"My standard poodle, Daphne, loves to stay at Brookside Dogcart.  As soon as Daphne gets out of the car, she heads for Marilyn’s backdoor.  Daphne plays with the beagles (Buckley and Lucy) and gets taken to dog parks.  It’s nice to get email photos of the doggie outings when i am on the road.  Daphne seems to be completely at ease at Brookside Dogcare.  When she gets back home, she needs a day of rest from her “vacation” at Brookside.  I always look first to have Brookside keep Daphne when I am out of town." - Glenn K.

"Our dog, Mr Pasco, was ‘adopted and welcomed’ by Marilyn and Ben into their home when we were searching for a ‘second home’ due to all of our travels.   Not sure if Mr Pasco enjoyed being with Marilyn more than with us.  She was such a terrific ‘Mom’ to him.  Today, Mr Pasco is a permanent member of her family as some of his ashes now reside in their yard.  And now we have Mr Rooster.  We cannot imagine a better care taker than Marilyn!"

"I have known Marilyn McGuire for over a decade and she cared for my dog, Mr. Pasco from his junior years until literally when he took his last breath.  All I can say is that her compassion, love and commitment to my wonderful dog was extraordinary.  She watched Mr. Pasco at her home for a few days to weeks at a time.  Her home is a resort for dogs.  Her home is comfy, warm and incredibly safe for dogs.  They have a beautiful run outside and has comfortable beds scattered throughout the house.

During his last year he was becoming increasingly ill on multiple medications during multiple times during the day.  Marilyn not only was able to keep track of his complicated medicine regimen, but watched him very closely for any concerning new symptoms.  She cared for him like he was her own.  When Mr. Pasco developed leukemia on top of all of his other medical problems he was in terrible pain and a decision was made to have him go peacefully.  Marilyn went to see him in the hospital to say goodbye which meant not only the world to us, but I am sure to Mr. Pasco.

Two years later, we adopted a new Corgi.  He is scheduled to stay with Marilyn next month.  I wouldn’t consider anyone else to watch my dog.  Marilyn is a the best.  She is a gem!" –ﾠAndy S.
